Wizz Air Holdings carried 14% more passengers in January but saw a fall in its load factor due in part to the reallocation of capacity in response to current geopolitical events.

The eastern Europe-focused budget airline said Friday that it carried 4.7 million passengers in January compared with 4.1 million for the same month a year earlier.

Load factor--a measure of how full a plane is--was 82% in January compared with 86% a year earlier.

Operations into Tel Aviv from London, Budapest, Sofia, Bucharest, Krakow, and Rome will start from March, Wizz Air said.
