European stocks increase Wednesday

European stocks rose Wednesday, as the Stoxx Europe 600 index XX:SXXP closed up 1.18% to 477.09.

The German DAX DX:DAX gained 1.58% to 16,889.92, the French CAC 40 index FR:PX1 increased 0.91% to 7,455.64 and the FTSE 100 index UK:UKX increased 0.56% to 7,527.67.

Among Stoxx Europe 600 constituents, business/consumer services company Atos SE FR:ATO saw the largest increase Wednesday, as shares jumped 11.8%.

Shares of technology firm ASML Holding N.V. NL:ASML and industrial goods company Siemens Energy AG XE:ENR gained 9.7% and 9.3%, respectively.
